Rare Piedmontese wine, already known at the end of 1700, always appreciated for its particular characteristics of softness. The vine is very demanding in terms of climate and soil and this makes it cultivable with good results only in particularly suitable areas.

Grape variety:  Bonarda Piemontese
Production area:  Piedmont, in the north of the province of Asti.
Vinification:  Maceration for 4-6 days at controlled temperature.
Maturation: Until spring in concrete.
Color:  Ruby red.
Aroma:  Vinous, sweet fruity with spicy hints, black pepper.
Taste:  Dry, soft, slightly tannic with a sweetly almondy aftertaste.
Best time to consume:  1-3 years.
Pairings:  It prefers hot appetizers and soups or stuffed pasta such as agnolotti, cappelletti and tortellini.
Serving method:  Freshly uncorked in not very large glasses at a temperature of 18-20°C.
