A grape variety grown exclusively in Piedmont, Freisa finds its most suitable production area in the Alto Astigiano area. To make this wine, grapes are selected from vineyards bordering the Vezzolano Abbey, in the Municipality of Albugnano.

Vinification:  Maceration for 4-6 days at controlled temperature.
Ripening : Until late spring.
Color:  Intense ruby ​​red.
Aroma:  Vinous, floral and fruity, evoking rose and raspberry.
Taste:  In the mouth the wine is structured, decidedly dry, full-bodied and soft with a tannin that makes it unique, leaving a pleasant bitter sensation at the bottom of the palate.
Best time to consume:  1-6 years.
Pairings:  The tannin and structure that is perceived in the mouth make it suitable to accompany important and savoury dishes such as game, breaded and fried mushrooms, chicken with peppers.
Serving method:   In medium-sized glasses at a temperature of 18-20°C.
