As per tradition, the noblest of Piedmont wines, Nebbiolo, takes its name from the leading municipality of the production area. Here is Albugnano, a small village located on the highest hill of the production area, in the heart of Piedmont. Whose belvedere, on clear days, offers an unforgettable panorama.

Grape variety:  Nebbiolo 
Production area:  Piedmont, in the municipalities adjacent to Albugnano, all in the north of the Province of Asti.
Vinification:  Maceration for approximately 6-7 days at a maximum temperature of 26°C
Maturation: Minimum 20 months, large barrel + bottle.
Color:  Light ruby ​​red tending towards garnet with aging.
Aroma:  Vinous, ethereal, fruity, especially cooked fruit, spicy with a delicate woody sensation.
Taste:  On the palate it is full-bodied, with an elegant tannin, also thanks to the refinement, rightly savoury, persistent and harmonious.
Best time to consume:  2-6 years.
Pairings:  The fullness on the palate and the tannic sensations make it suitable for pairing with grilled or roasted red meats and also with tasty or blue cheeses.
Serving method:  In large glasses, preferably decanted first, at a temperature of 20-22°C.
