A vine grown exclusively in Piedmont, Freisa finds its most suitable production area in the North of Asti. A vine with medium-late ripening, it produces wines rich in aromas and, in the best exposures, also in structure.
Wine:  Freisa d'Asti DOC Spumante Extra Dry
Grape variety:  Freisa
Production area:  Castelnuovo Don Bosco and towns located on the surrounding hills.
Vinification:  Short maceration in press. Subsequent slow foaming in autoclave at low temperature.
Maturation : Minimum 6 months in autoclave.
Color: Bright pink.
Aroma:   floral, fruity, intense with aromatic notes typical of the grape of origin that evoke red berries such as raspberry and cherry
Taste:  extra dry, very soft, delicate, persistent. The finish reveals sensations of red fruits perceived by the nose
Perlage:  fine and persistent, thanks to a particularly slow prise de mousse
Best time  for consumption:  within 3 years of harvest
Pairings:  ideal for happy hour and aperitifs in general. Suitable to accompany seafood appetizers, fried fish or shellfish
Serving method:  freshly uncorked, in a flute at a temperature of 8-10°C
