Wine: Barbera d'Asti
Grape variety: Barbera
Production area: The grapes that give rise to this wine come from the hills of Monferrato, in particular in the municipalities bordering San Damiano d'Asti and Castelnuovo Don Bosco.
Vinification: Hand-picked grapes, soft pressing, long maceration at a temperature not exceeding 26°C. Devatting is performed.
Maturation: minimum 30 months, barrel + bottle.
First period medium-small barrel, then large barrel.
Color:  Intense ruby ​​red with purple reflections.
Aroma: Intense and ethereal with hints of red fruits, jam.
Taste: Powerful, savoury, with good acidity and great softness.
Best time to consume: Immediately but evolves positively for at least 10 years after the harvest if properly stored.
Pairings: First courses with ragù, roasted or grilled red meats and medium/long-aged cheeses.
Serving instructions: Uncork 1 hour before, possibly place in a carafe and serve in large glasses at 18-20°C.
