Istrale Blue Lable

Case of 6
Vermentino di Sardegna D.O.C.

£108.00

Color: Straw yellow with greenish reflections
Aroma: Intense, fresh, and fruity, with hints of white-fleshed fruit
Taste: Enveloping and soft, with a full and smooth flavor
Production area: Territory of Senorbì, characterized by medium-textured soils composed of clayey limestone, with a medium hillside location
Production technology: Great care is taken in choosing the ideal time to harvest the grapes to achieve the right balance between sugars and acidity. The wine is fermented at low temperatures to enhance its characteristics. After a period of aging in steel, the wine is bottled.
Aging: Best enjoyed young, within two years of harvest
Storage temperature: 18-20°C in cool, dry, and light-protected places
Serving temperature: Serve chilled, 10-12°C
ISTRALE: An ancient name used by the Sardinian populations for the sacred double-headed axe. The image, very schematic, comes from a well-known Sardinian bronze document from the 2nd millennium B.C. "Sa Seguredda" (the small axe) was once an essential apotropaic object among the inland Sardinian populations. It can therefore symbolize a sign of good luck and prosperity.
